Explaining Anytime and AM Data

What are AM & Anytime hours? 

AM hours are midnight to midday (all 'AM' hours i.e 12am, 1am...10am, 11.59am). Anytime hours are midday to midnight, or if you run out of AM data.

What happens if I run out of Anytime or AM Data?

If you run out of AM data, you can continue using your Anytime data during AM hours. If you run out of Anytime data, you will need to top up to continue using your connection.

Why can't I have unlimited at all times? 

We want to provide a reliable service that’s fast for everyone. Each rural cell tower is shared between users in your specific area, and if everyone was to use large amounts of data during 'peak' hours e.g. 7pm, you could experience slower speeds.

We can offer more data during AM hours as not everyone is online all at once.

RBI Wireless Facts

RBI (Rural Broadband Initiative) is the government’s initiative to provide fast broadband to areas outside the urban copper and fibre networks. It uses long range fixed wireless towers to provide broadband coverage to homes and businesses within range.

If you are in plug and play coverage, the wireless signal is received straight from the modem, meaning there’s no need for an antenna to be installed on your roof. We make it simple by avoiding the need for an installer saving you valuable time and money. If you find yourself out of ‘PnP’ (Plug and Play) coverage then you will need to have an aerial installed on the roof of your home or business.

4G RBI speeds are usually fast enough to stream Netflix smoothly and use multiple devices connected to the internet at once.

Set Up
  • $14.95 one-off on a 24 month contract (includes shipping, handling, provisioning, etc.).
  • Want an open term option? Buy the RBI Modem for only $329 and you can give us 30 days notice anytime!
Not in a 'PnP' (self-install) coverage area?
  • We can ship you an external antenna and a 10m cable for $119.
Need a hand installing the antenna?
  • We have a nationwide network of trusted contractors – we can arrange one of them to install the aerial for you for $249 + $1.15 per kilometre for their mileage (standard install).
Top-up Data Packs

If you run out of Anytime data, your account will auto top up with a 1GB data pack, up to 4 times. After this, your connection will stop, and you will need to manually purchase one of the data packs below to get back up and running.

Our top-up data packs are flexible and are valid for the month they are bought in, so only purchase as much as you need for the remainder of the month.

  • 1GB – $5.00 per month
  • 5GB – $15.50 per month
  • 10GB – $27.50 per month
  • 20GB – $48.50 per month
  • 50GB – $99.50 per month
  • 100GB – $189.50 per month

It’s easy to change the number of auto top ups within your MyHub account. Here’s a couple scenarios on how you can control your auto top ups:

  • You can set your connection to stop as soon as you have run out of Anytime data, and manually add a top up from within your MyHub account.
  • You can set various data pack sizes to auto top up e.g. 5GB data pack to auto top up to 5 times, or 1GB up to 2 times.

Can I upgrade or downgrade my plan?

Yes, you can. Please note, your plan change will only take effect in the following calendar month.

Data top ups are available to purchase during the month to bridge the gap until your plan change takes effect in the following month.

Early Exit Fee

The early exit fee is 1/24 of $458.85 for every remaining month on a 24-month contract, plus the value of any promotion offered during signup.

E.g. if you cancel with 5 months remaining on your contract, the early exit fee will be $95.60 (this is 5/24 of $458.85) + the value of any promotion (if offered) during signup.

30 days notice must be given on a 24-month term. 

*Unlimited AM Data

If you are on the unlimited AM data plan, you will see the usage limit for AM Data of 10,000GB. It is virtually impossible to reach the limit figure of 10,000GB, which is ten terabytes: 10TB. 10TB is there in your account as we have to input a figure into our system.
